Nadria Kitanya Robinson is a strong believer that once you have a mindset that God’s plans and your purpose are bigger than your struggles, then success will definitely come your way. All her endeavors are guided by a genuine desire to improve her life, and the lives of others. It was this passion that led to her writing an essay that shortlisted her as one of the recipients for the annual Each One Reach One (EORO) scholarship in July 2022. Nadria is an all round creative, an artist, Saint International model, and an aspiring Analytical Chemist. She was the Valedictorian of the class of 2022 at the Bishop Gibson High School For Girls and is on a continued path to success. In 2022 she also became a GraceKennedy Foundation- Douglas Orane scholar, Burger King Foundation Bursary recipient, and Carreras Special Award recipient.
As she undertakes her goal of assisting others and contributing to society, she has been proactive in developing her leadership skills and contributing to her community and school. Nadria served as Head Girl, president of Quiz Club and president of the Purple Pride Interest Group for 4 consecutive years and captain of the Schools’ Challenge Quiz team at Bishop Gibson High.
To Nadria, a leader is someone who serves; one who empowers others to become their best selves. To this end, she mentored over 20 students through the Purple Pride Interest Group and heads the marketing team for an online tutoring service called, Study Shack Jamaica. This aspiring Analytical Chemist has recently been appointed as the Public Relations Officer of the Chemistry Subcommittee, the Public Relations Officer for the EAC at the UWI Mona Guild and serves as the Deputy of the Initiatives Advisory Committee at the Faculty of Science and Technology, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Applied Chemistry.
Nadria is aware that she cannot do all the good that the world needs, but she knows the world needs all the good that she can do, and she will continue to create a positive impact with God as her guide.
